Who should attend?

Building on the research carried out in the ‘Voice 21’ report, this course is aimed at staff seeking to develop an understanding of pedagogy and practice and is delivered by oracy trained facilitators.

Why attend?

Effective use of Oracy is fundamental in developing literacy skills and supporting pupils to become more confident in all forms of communication. This is, of course, essential for all students, but perhaps arguably most beneficial to students form disadvantaged backgrounds.

What will it cover

  • Understanding the barriers to oracy
  • The four strands of oracy development
  • Enhancing the quality and consistency of oracy in our classrooms
  • Effective and practical classroom strategies
