SLE Designation Training
Brooke Weston Teaching School Alliance is delivering training for Designated SLEs to enable them to provide School to School Support.
The facilitators have expertise across the primary and secondary sectors and will deliver NCTL approved training. The core day is designed to develop the skills, qualities and understanding required for an effective SLE. The core training day is an introduction to school-to-school support and the role of the specialist leader of education (SLE). It provides SLEs with essential information about the role and will equip them with the tools and techniques for effective school-to-school support. It also provides an opportunity to meet other SLEs.
Once successfully completed, SLEs can be deployed by their Teaching Schools in school to school support.
The aims of the SLE core training are to:
- To understand the current climate involving school-to-school support
- To appreciate the importance of an emotionally intelligent SLE
- To build a toolkit of skills to become an effective SLE
- To prepare SLEs for deployment.
