The following courses are aimed at leaders and aspiring leaders at all levels
SEF/SDP Writing
This practical session is intended for senior leaders who wish to check that their SEF offers straightforward evaluation of their school’s position and how they are using this to drive their school improvement plan.

David Turner is the director of school development at SIA, School Improvement

Associates. David helps schools along their improvement journey and has worked in education since 1992. David's experience includes classroom teaching, subject/middle leadership (twice), senior leadership (twice) and local authority advisory services. He qualified as an Ofsted inspector in 2005 and has regularly inspected schools since 2010, including lead inspector role since 2013. When working as an adviser, David does not represent Ofsted. His specialist classroom area is questioning and he is published on that subject. As well as education, David has enjoyed a career as a musician in a pop group.
Subject Leads – Leading a Deep Dive
This session supports senior and subject leaders to handle deep dives in an Ofsted inspection and to harness this process for genuine school development purposes. The session offers different scenarios and practical guidance.

SEND/Medical Needs – Meeting Statutory Compliance
This session will develop good practice for working with pupils with additional needs and will also support SENDCOs to prepare for their role during an Ofsted visit.

Rachel Mortlock worked since 2011 as an independent adviser across the country

working with schools, MATS, LAs and as an Education Adviser for the DfE. This role includes supporting with curriculum development, assessment, early years, safeguarding, leadership development, school improvement and new school openings. She has twice been appointed as an external expert on reception baseline for the Standards and Testing Agency. Prior to that she worked as a Senior Regional Adviser and National Data Lead for Early Years for the National Strategies and as a Senior Adviser and Early Years Strategic Lead for a large LA, where she led a large team working supporting EYFS and SEND across schools and settings.
Effective Phase Leadership
Through this session, you will reflect on the central place of relationships within your team to build and grow efficiencies and effectiveness. We will explore some strategies to carry this out and further challenge when required.

Leading a Team of Support Staff e.g. Site, Admin, Catering (S)
This session will provide you with an overview of the importance of being a line manager and how you can get the most out of your team. You will work through some of the practical aspects of line management through the course.

Managing Allegations
This session will cover the current statutory guidance on managing allegations; look at the role of your staff, the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) and the police; and provide practical advice with regards to suspension and conducting investigations.

Developing outstanding early years practice (S)
This session will explore how to develop the outdoor and indoor learning environments to ensure that children age 3-5 develop, consolidate and deepen their knowledge, understanding and skills across all the areas of learning in the EYFS.

Vice Principal/Assistant Principal Conference/ Martin Carter Keynote Speaker
In this session, you will explore your role as a leader of school improvement, network with other school leaders and listen to the inspirational Martin Carter, who is a leadership development coach for high profile organisations.

Developing Same Day Intervention in your School (S)
Same day intervention is a way of ensuring that pupils do not leave the classroom confused today, and then compound the issues and misconceptions tomorrow because they struggled. Short, purposeful, same day interventions gives a child the boost to get them back on track and this session will show you how to achieve this.
