Effective Lesson Observation
A Cambridge Education Programme
Developed by experienced inspectors, this programme is designed for those with responsibility for managing the quality of teaching in school and will consider the aspects of carrying out observations that support the work towards quality first teaching.
What will it cover?
During the sessions, participants will examine all aspects of observation, including making accurate judgements based on observation supported by other information. It will also include effective feedback. There will be practical observations undertaken as part of the course.
Participants will consider:
- What am I looking for?
- How do I identify what is happening in the classroom?
- Recording observations
- Reaching judgements on quality of learning and teaching
- Providing effective feedback
- Maintaining on going records of observation
