This two day course is designed for new teachers of Psychology and non-subject specialists and teaches the skills and techniques for gaining top answers in A level Psychology exams. Designed by a senior examiner using experience of what students do wrong to explain how to get it right.  Each of the sessions will begin with a brief marking exercise before looking at the specific skills that can make the difference between gaining D and A grades. 

Aims:  

  • Understand what a top band answer looks like
  • Develop an understanding of how to embed research methods and mathematical skills through practical work
  • Understand skills required for effective student revision

Outcomes

  • Ability to match answers to the appropriate level
  • Competence at research methods and practical skills
  • Knowledge of what students need to succeed

£150 per participant, per session (Band 1)
