Suggested Project timeline
Below is a suggested guide for you to follow to meet a timely and successful project.
Lead an improvement project across your school, lasting at least 2 terms to reduce variation in pupil progress and attainment (part A) and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching (part B).
Autumn/Winter Term 2021
- Programme starts
- Complete your 360 review
- Complete your project plan
- Make appropriate plans to start your project
- Attend project setup assessment surgery
Spring Term 2021
- Start your improvement project (start of term)
Summer Term 2021
- Complete your improvement project (end of term)
Autumn Term 2021
- Complete a written account of your project covering the design, implementation and evaluation of the project.
- Submit your assignment and supporting documents.

Resubmissions
If you submit an on-time submission adhering to the timeline above and receive an unsuccessful outcome, you will have one further opportunity to resubmit.
Extensions
Please talk to the team at the earliest convenience to discuss your project if you are experiencing difficulties. We have a very small window for extensions due to the NPQ license expiry (see below).
NPQ License Expiry
The current NPQ licence expires on 31.08.22 and all activity delivered under this licence (including assessment and awarding processes) must be completed by this date. This means that the last opportunity to re-submit your assignment is May 2022.
