The day course looked at creating hooks into learning, developing effective relationships, understanding hidden behaviours and using digital and analogue teaching within the classroom.

One delegate said, ‘Engaging the Disengaged was a fantastic course and was about helping students who don’t have as much motivation to learn and get involved in lessons as their peers. The course leader had lots of great ideas to take back to the classroom and showed us different ways to bring technology in to engage the students, which I’m hoping to implement in my classroom.

‘I found the course extremely helpful and have gained some new inspirational ideas to help students in my class become more involved. I’ve already introduced a high five moment where if somebody does something outstanding they get their name put on the wall and a high five in front of everyone.’
