Last week saw Brooke Weston Teaching school Alliance host the Northamptonshire Train to Teach Open Evening, for graduates, career changers and current students looking to train as a primary or secondary school teacher countywide.

Almost 100 people attended the event which had representatives from primary, secondary and special schools in the area and offered one to one career advise on the best routes available into teaching.

Director of Brooke Weston Teaching School Alliance Mrs Cristina Taboada-Naya said ‘It was a pleasure to host this event and to see so many prospective new teachers attend. I think it is so important if you are thinking about getting into teaching, that you have as much information about your options and the best route to take as possible, which is what we offered the delegates at the event. I hope that from this we will see many more people begin their incredibly rewarding journey into teaching.’
